Safari Trails International ( S.T.I ) has some of the best hunting areas in the Eastern Cape. We have arrangements with numerous land owners and therefore have a vast amount of acreage that we may hunt. We also have a very impressive list of species that can be hunted.

S.T.I also offers the opportunity to do a hunt / tour combination. One can allocate as many days to either as you choose. A typical scenario would be to do a 6 day hunt and then a 6 day tour to Cape Town. Including the famous “Garden Route” and then spending a few days in Cape Town taking in all the sights there.

As of 2009 Safari Trails International does not offer package hunts anymore.

I feel that I need to clarify this.

Packages were originally designed by outfitters as a way to harvest their non-trophy animals and still get higher prices for them than just meat value. They were in essence what is, today known in the USA as “Management hunts”.

These packages usually consisted of animals that the outfitter had in great numbers and needed to take some off.

However due to a number of reasons it has become the norm that everyone wants a package and when the animals they want are not on a package they ask the outfitters if a package can be made up.

What Safari Trails International has started as of 2009 is to still have these “Management hunts” but they will only be available as discounted hunts from the 1st September to the 15th November. There is a separate list of animals that may be taken on these hunts and there is also a reduced daily rate.

The decision as to which animal will be shot will be the professional hunters.

I have decided to do it this way so as to drive some business to our usually quieter months and also take off some of our “management animals”

• When allocating days to your trophy hunt allow about 1.5 days per animal.
  
• When allocating days to a management hunt allow about 1.5 animals per day.
  
• As can be seen on the price lists, some animals need to be reserved in advance due to limited availability, special permits or special travel plans.
