Profile:

Safari Trails International was originally born through a merger of two well know and trusted hunting outfitters, namely: “Hunts for Africa” and “Larry McGilliwie Outdoor Adventures”.

Safari Trails International is now owned and operated by Russell and Julie Lovemore with their two sons Chad and Mitch. Safari Trails International has become a well respected hunting company in it’s own right.

We operate primarily out of the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, but Safari’s are offered all over South Africa, depending on our clients needs and desires. We have a close working relationship with an outfitter in Mozambique and regularly conduct safari’s in this wild and beautiful country.

Safari Trails International’s mission is to provide each and every one of our clients a great experience and memories “for a lifetime”.

Russell has been a professional hunter for twelve years and has outfitted hunts for ten years. He is also a scuba diving instructor trainer, an SCI master measurer, a level two field guide.

Julie is a trained taxidermist and has her own company, “Dip and Pack Africa”. This is on site and she will take care of all trophy shipments to any destination around the world.

Southern Africa is renowned for it's fantastic hunting opportunities offering a huge diversity of game. This ranges from the tiny blue duiker to the magnificant African Elephant.

Our main hunting concessions lie in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Game abounds, with 34 species available on request, with large herds a common sight. Hunting trips to other destinations are offered according to specific requirements.

Accommodation varies according to the concession and ranges from luxury lodge style, to family hosted ranch accommodation. Catering is of a high standard and specific requests are welcome. Hunting takes place throughout the year, although the main season is from March until October, due to our high summer temperatures. We cater for safaris for entire families, with activities arranged for non-hunting members. Children and young hunters are welcome, and training is given for the novice hunter.
